Winning the Games (in a random person's point of view)

"She's over there" a familiar voice was calling in the opposite direction. I was up in a tree, and we were down to the final three, me and two careers. I knew I could win this but I didn't know how.

"She's not there, she must be in a tree or something." That must have been the other career.

Did he really figure out where I was hiding? He couldn’t have, could he? I know he’s not that bright, but maybe I judged him wrong.

"That's ridiculous!"

"Well she must be somewhere."

This argument went on for a while and I started to ignore it, I'm still trying to come up with a plan. I finally got an idea, and it just might work. I had found some poisonous berries a while back, I guess it was about 2 days ago. I only piked them up hoping they would help. Well they will now.

I was simply going to drop my pouch with them in it. Then scream from up in a tree, they'd obviously going to run for me. They have been out of food for a while, so they will pick it up. These berries would kill them once they touch there mouths.

I hopped from tree to tree until I was at a good spot, clear to drop and far enough from them for this to work. I got the berries down and screamed, thank go they came running. Still in there argument, the boy who thought i was in a tree (I think he's from 1) has about to eat them when the unexpected happened. The other career (from 4?) took out a knife and stabbed him.

"We share.” he said in a sinister voice. Next thing I know I heard 2 cannons sound, he ate the berries. I had won.

Back in the capitol, I saw the recap of the games, only to find out the 2 careers of which had the deathly argument over the berries, were always arguing. The one form 4 (who took out the knife) had a plan all along. He was using the other career to fight for him, when he would die he could become victor. I recked his plans, I won the games and didn't think it would go down like this. Can you image a 12 year old girl defying all odds by winning the games? Well it just happened. Somehow I won the games, which I still can't wrap my head around.
